What Causes Abdominal Pain While On Zocef For Sinusitis?

Question: Hi Doc,

My wife is having abdominal pain. She is getting treatment for sinusitis from past 2 days. Looks like she is suffering from constipation or bloating. Pain is at the lower part of abdomen and going downside. Please suggest can she take meftal Spas or suggest any other drug. She is on Zocef 500 from past 2 days to treat sinusitis. Please advise.

To recapitulate: Your wife is getting treatment for sinusitis with Zocef (Cefuroxime) 500 for the last 2 days and looks to be having constipation or bloating, pain in the lower abdomen and going downside.
Yes, she can take Meftal Spas if it suits her and see the effects.
I would also advise you to watch for development of other signs and symptoms like loose stools, nausea, vomiting, fever and distension of the abdomen.
If anything of these develop, it is always better to be seen and examined by a Doctor for a simple reason to get clinical evaluation and to get an additional treatment as per the findings and get investigated too.
