Question : I've had abdominal pain for 9 months, pain in my sternum for almost a year, and am queasy virtually daily. I have lost 30+ lbs in 4 months and two weeks ago I was extremely nauseas for days. The only relief came when I was given antinausea medication. Had colonoscopy and endoscopy this week. Nothing abnormal. Waiting to hear back about biopsies. Have had CT test and Hidascan. I'm desperate for some answers. I am female and 45 years old.
Brief Answer:
Reassure yourself and wait for the reports
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in
Considering the information you have provided it seems you have, developed gastritis
But something which can not be explained is the loss of 30+ lbs in just four months
I would suggest you start with bland diet, and plenty of fluids orally
Add a proton pump inhibitor and a probiotic twice a day before meals
If under stress, manage your stress levels
Avoid alochol and smoking if used to
And get back to me once the biopsy reports are with you
Also upload the CT & Hidascan reports along with colonoscopy & endoscopy reports
Reassure yourself and wait for the reports
