Brief Answer:
You need clinical evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.

If you are sexually active and always have regular cycles, this sort of presentation calls for further evaluation. I would suggest a proper clinical exam by a gynecologist to exclude pelvic causes and also hormone imbalances.

A sonogram of the pelvis, pregnancy test, urinalysis and blood counts are needed. If pregnancy is excluded as the cause, presence of any cysts or infection should also be excluded. The color of the discharge suggests fresh bleeding followed by altered color due to retained collection. This can happen most often with episodic discharge. An ectopic pregnancy/ a ruptured ovarian cyst/ pelvic inflammation are the most likely causes. When pain persists in every cycle, endometriosis also should be considered.

Hope I have clarified your query. Please feel free to contact for further information. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
