What Causes Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding?

default
Posted on Mon, 10 Jul 2017
Question: Hello,
I am a healthy 68 year old woman. Am just seeing some light blood coloring landing on tissue paper after urinating and intercourse ~ one time. The blood should not be there right? I take bio-identical hormones. perhaps they need to be readjusted. I have a general MD, but not a gynecologist. What should I have checked first? Thanks XXXX

Brief Answer:
Pap smear advised

Detailed Answer:

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand the concerns.
Blood after intercourse can be due to local lesions like cervical polyp, vaginitis, premalignant and malignant lesions of the cervix of vagina.
I will suggest you to consult XXXXXXX OBGYN specialist for proper internal examination, pap smear and get the further treatment accordingly.

Hope you found the answer helpful.
