Question : Hi,
My 2 year 7 month old daughter is limping slightly since yesterday. Limping is observed only when she walks. No limping at all when she runs or jumps. She has no pain though while walking. Remains active throughout the day. What can it be? Why is she limping? I took her to a paed today who made her walk and did her examination. He too found no pain...swelling etc. Doctor has prescribed her combiflam syrup and bevon syrup for 3 day course. She weighs 11.6 kgs and presently her molars are in the process of emerging. I am very anxious to see her limping since yesterday. Please help me!

Brief Answer:
Do not worry
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concerns but don't worry. The most likely reason for acute onset limp in toddlers with no associated signs and symptoms is mild self limiting musculoskeletal event such as strain, sprain and contusion.
I would recommend you to continue with the symptomatic treatment as suggested by your pediatrician. Most likely she will improve within next 2 days.
Hopefully this will be of help. I would be happy to help you in any further questions.
Take care
