Question : I have acute pain down the front of my left leg to the point the muscle spasms. I have played rugby most of my life and can stand pain but not this pain. It has got really bad the past two days. Its fine when I am at my desk and hell when I stand up.
I have osteoartharitis on my left hip and hurt my back last week, sciatic nerve maybe trapped.
My GP suspected my leg pain was related to this but by brother in law is a surgeon and says more likely from my hip as the pain runs down the front of my leg not the back.
What is the likely cause of this severe debilitating pain I can not walk to my car in the evenings.
Many thanks,

Brief Answer:
This can worsen further
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am sorry for the pain. Still the description of the pain is not clear. Your incapacitating pain could be related to any of the above two. With available info more likely from nerve entrapment of the two causes.
Yes you need better pain killers like Tramadol and immediate evaluation by a specialist doctor. I suggest not to delay in taking a treatment as it can progress further. If you are unable to walk even to your car this could soon turn to emergency.
I suggest you to take immediate appointment with Orthopedic surgeon.
