Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I understand your concern and read your condition.By the complaint you have mentioned I could think of one possibility right now that is "Morton's Neuroma".

In this, a patient complains of pain that can start in the ball of the foot and shoot into the affected toes.However, some people just have toe pain. There may also be burning and tingling of the toes.

Confirmed diagnosis can be generally made by proper examination of toes and very rarely Ultrasonography or MRI scans are needed.I would suggest you to visit a surgeon for the same.

Non surgical approaches like ;

Footwear adjustments
Calf-stretching exercises
Steroid or local anaesthetic injections
Sclerosant injections

can be done for temporary relief.If these do not work surgery is needed.
