Detailed Answer:
Hi! Welcome to health care magic! Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all, it is sad to know what she has been going through. Based on the history you have shared, your first question is broad enough and encompasses so many reasons for her symptoms and can be due to variety of causes including heart and Lung problems. However in her case liver might be contributing because liver produces a protien called albumin. In chronic liver disease due to XXXXXXX it can be low in blood. This protien helps to maintain blood fluids inside vessels and when if is low the fluid can seep out of the vessels and can cause lungs congestion and strain of heart which can cause shortness of breath on exertions. Medicines which induce excessive urination and take out extra body water are given in such cases but she needs to have her ECHO cardiogram and chest Xray done. Keep close liason with her GP and she may need repeated referal to gastroentrologist or a physician frequently. Wishing her best health and recovery. Hope this has answered your query, if you have any more questions, feel free to ask. Regards.
