What Causes Allergic Skin Rash On Arm And Leg?

Brief Answer:
Hydrocortisone, neosporin cream
Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I can understand your concern regarding the skin condition.
After review of your picutes and history, I think you have got papular urticaria, a form of allergic reaction to insects/ bugs. Usually it is very irritating and itchy but sometimes they can be mild and less symptomatic.
Nothing to worry as its very simple to treat.
I would advise you to apply a hydrocortisone cream and an antibiotic cream like neosporin or fusidic acid. Mix both creams and apply twice a day for few days.
Additionally, calamine lotion will be beneficial.
Hope you will be fine soon,
Thank you and take care

Doctor the bites are swollen and painful and more wide spread. I have attached a picture of the medication that I am using. Should I be concerned or is this a normal allergic reaction to insect bites?
Brief Answer:
Add oral prednisolone
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Yea the hydrocortisone and neosporin will work but in addition if can take oral prednisolone for few days it would bring much faster relief.
Consult your GP/Dermatologist for a prescription of oral prednisolone.
Usually, I prescribe it for few days in the following manner:
Prednisolone 5 mg tablet thrice a day for 3 days, the reduce the frequency to twice a day for 3 days and then only once in morning for 3 days and then you may stop it.
