Question: I'm having this wierd feeling in the middle of my chest & into my right breast. Also have been treating for acid . Treatment for that does not help. Most everything i swallow burns in back of my throat & the tip of my tongue. i am scheduled for a hernia surgery in 2 wks., & wonder if i'll be over all of this by then. Could you give me a few thoughts. P.S. The feeling i have is hard to explain. Am also having pain on top of my right shoulder that goes down in my right arm. THANK YOU.

Brief Answer:
Seems to be related to your hyperacidity and indigestion!

Detailed Answer:
Welcome to HCM and thanks for consultation at best online healthcare portal. We as a dedicated team, work hard to assist patients from all over the globe.

I feel pride in helping you out today. The symptoms you described are all interlinked and due to high acid content in stomach and its aftereffects. It causes burning sensation on tongue and food pipe (the esophagus), it causes pain as you feel and described in detail in your health query.

You asked, if you can get out of it before your surgery--Yes, it can be managed to some extent or whole. Consult a Gastroenterologist and he will go for H.Pylori bacterial infection test of stomach. It is this bacteria considered to be the cause of infecting stomach and causing high acid content and pain arising from ulcers in stomach and small intestine. It is manageable through medications. Your Gastroenterologist will prescribe you the medications. He may also prescribe you with DEXILANT--a more potent drug to lower the stomach acid. You may take GAVISCON SOLUTION (available OTC) until you see your Gastroenterologist.

Hope it helps. Please ask me if you need further assistance. I will be happy to assist. My direct and fast acting link is: tinyurl.com/drhanifmd
