What Causes An Abundant Dark Brown Vaginal Discharge With Itching?

Question : For the last few days I've been having dark brown vaginal discharge. some of it has like a tissue like texture. I've also had swelling and intense itching. there's a little bit of an odor but not that bad.
I've been going to Waterparks and wearing a wet bathing suit all day for the last few weeks. and I've only had sex once in the last year which was a few weeks ago.
What could this be and how can I treat this and stop the otching?
I've tried coconut oil, monistat and feminine itch cream

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) Your brown discharge can be due to some hormonal changes or conditions like erosion or cervical polyp. I will suggest you toget a gynec check up done to assess the condition. Treatment canbe started accordingly. Also, you might get a prescription of Tranexamic acid and Mefenamic acid to control the discharge from your treating doctor.

3 ) Secondly, for the itching and other skin problems, I will suggest you -

- keep private parts clean and dry
- wear dry cotton inner clothing, change them frequently if needed
- get a prescription for lactic acid containing vaginal wash, oral and vaginal anti fungal agents.
