My Mean platelet has increased to 13.8. What could be the causes and how to over come it.

I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your mean platelet volume is increased. It is due to any inflammation or other causes.

Large and reactive platelets are metabolically and enzymatically more active and increased the risk of thrombus formation.

MPV can be decreased by drugs like rosuvastatin.
