Brief Answer:
Very likely it is not a clot but please notice the possible associated symptoms mentioned below.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for asking at healthcaremagic.
I carefully read your question and understand your concern related to the risk for clots.

Very likely the vessel you are noticing is not a clot but there are a few things to pay attention related to it: if it is not painful, if it gets compressed when you press on it and no swelling or redness than very likely this is not a clot that is formed. If clots form they are hard to palpation and do not compress with pressure. Also some swelling, redness and local tenderness might develop if a clot happens in your vessels.

If the area is hard to palpation or is tender or swollen please see your doctor, still it might not be a clot but it is safer to have it checked.

I hope this is helpful and answers to your question but please feel free to reply if anymore concerns related to this. In this cases uploading a picture of the area would be very helpful.

Kind regards,

Antoneta Zotaj, MD
