What Causes An Overactive Bladder?

Question : I have overactive bladder. Urologist found no organic cause, scope study of bladder shows no abnormality. slightly large prostate. what can cause this?

Cause of Over Active Bladder which is functional in nature is not known.

Thanks for query .

You have been diagnosed to have Over Active Bladder syndrome and no organic cause has been revealed on routine investigations like Urine culture and Cystoscopic examination .

The cause of functional over active bladder is still not known in spite of extensive research in this field .However it is due to failure of Neuro Muscular well coordinated mechanism that controls the filling of bladder and voiding mechanism.

The only effective treatment is to take anti muscuranic drugs like Darifencin or Solifenacin once daily that that reduce the urge to pass urine .
