Posted on Wed, 14 Dec 2016
Question: hello,

Yesterday I overdose on some tablet medication. I didn't vomit or anything the only thing it made me do was feel like I had to keep urinating but nothing to urinate out. But then I felt normal. I had a restless sleep and now I'm experiencing chest pains. On and off. What do you think is going on?
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Symptomatic treatment.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concerns.
Can you please mention the name of the tablet?

The symptoms which you are experiencing the due drug intake possibly.
In my opinion, you should plenty if water. Take omeprazole as chest pain could be due to acid reflux.
The symptoms should subside by evening. If the symptoms worsen or persists then you must consult your doctor nearby for necessary investigation.

The name of the drug will help me point out more exactly, whether the symptoms are due that particular drug.

Hope this helps.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
Plenty of fluids.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.
Sorry for the late response.
These tablets does cause gastric upset, restlessness. Escitalopram in such dose can easily cause sleep disturbances and restlessness.

As suggested earlier, please drink lots of water and take antacid like omeprazole. The drug should flush out from your system quickly with increased fluid intake.

If your symptoms worsen, please consult your nearest doctor immediately.

I wish for your speedy recovery.
Thanks.
