Question: My son thinks he may have seen something small and white on toilet paper after going to the bathroom. We are not sure if this is mucous or a pinworm. There is anal itching. He's 10 and doesn't want his mom to look. Help!

You may give him Albendazole (available in many brand names like Noworm, Brandy) 400 mg 1 tablet today at bedtime and repeat the dose after a fortnight. This is a prescription drug, please get it prescribed by his doctor.

I think that things would be fine sooner.
