What Causes Anal Pain Along With Pain In Vagina?

default
Posted on Fri, 30 Jan 2015
Question: 43 yrs old, not pregnant, have had 4 episodes in two days of excruciating vaginal and anal pain that last upwards of 20 minutes each leaving me exhausted and sore. I should be ovulating at this time, I had a tubal ligation 5 yrs ago. I feel full and constipated and as though I have a 5 lb cervix. Very terrifying. And new. Should I get to clinic ASAP or is this typical for my age?

Brief Answer:
pain might be due to constipation

Detailed Answer:
Dear madam,welcome to healthcare magic.
I understand your concern. Iam sorry for your condition.
In my opinion, the anal pain and vaginal pain you are experiencing might be due to constipation. If you don't have any fever, vomiting, pain abdomen you need not worry. It might be due to constipation.
This is not normal for your age.
Take laxatives for constipation. A glass of warm water with a tea spoon honey also causes motion sometimes.
If no response with these measures you can consult doctor for further management.
To prevent constipation take adequate fluids upto 2 litres daily and high fibre diet and avoid processed food.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Feel free to ask any more queries.

Thank you so much for your immediate response. I am relieved that it's not a real health concern. It is curious though that the pain primarily feels like labour pains. Is this just radiating pain due to ovulation? I am sure you are correct, I accept I may be constipated, my movements are off schedule due to poor my holiday diet. The pain is extraordinary... All of this because I have too poop seems a little unfair!

Brief Answer:
it might not be due to ovulation

Detailed Answer:
Dear madam,I got your query. In my opinion the ovulation pain is not episodic and its felt
once or twice in right or left side of lower abdomen. Mostly it might be due to constipation due to your disturbed diet. Follow good diet and adequate fluids. Thanks for writing to us.
Hope this satisfies your query.

Good luck...Dr.srilatha
