Question : I am 48 years old in menopause and had BioTe pellet 3 weeks ago. I have 125mg teststerone, 12.5mg estradiol in the pellet and take orally 100mg progesterone. I am having terrible side effects, very bad anxiety, like all day long. My doctor told me to stop the progesterone for two days and see how i feel. He also said that is safe to not take it during the cousre of the pellet which is 3 months. I was prescribed 200 mg at first, but felt really bad the next morning, so he lower it to 100mg. I still feel bad with the 100mg. A few days ago i did not take the progesteron and felt ok thee next day. But then when i took it back the neext night i woke up feeling shaking again. Taking xanax 0.5 mg to deal with it. I also have a panic disorder, that is why i decide to do the pellet because was told it will ease it up. But it made it worse. I don't know which hormone exactly is causing it. I am feeling slagish, can't leave the house, feeling miserable. My questions are:
Are the dosage of the hormones he gave me too much 125mg testestorone, 12.5 estradiol, 100mg progestrone. Prier to that on my blood work my testostorone was 5 and estrogen <5.
Is it safe to not take progesterone through out the course of the pellet which is 3, 4 months? The pellet contains only estrogen and testestorone.
Which hormone is likely to give me this bad feeling?
Am I in danger of stroke or heart atack with this hormones?
Thank you

As below
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
No the dosage is not high, it is standard dosage prescribed to all women.
It is OK not to take progesterone since it seems it is the likely culprit for your symptoms.
If you have no other medical risk factor, your chances of having stroke are not higher than the general population.
All the best.
