Question : Hi
I'm male 35years 176cm /105kg diagonosed with hypertension before 2years it was 160-170/100-110
ECG, kidney scan, blood test and echo all were normal except mildly dilated aortic root 4cm EF Was 60%

Now for 2 years bp is well controlled with Telma40mg in morning and cilacar 10mg in night 120-110/70-80
Reduced weight to 85kg

When I asked about Aortic root dilation to the doctor he said it is within normal range ... should I be concerned about it

Mild aortic root dilatation is a perfectly normal finding in hypertensive males.
About 70% of the patients with hypertension has mild aortic root dilation in their echo.Just keep your blood pressure less then 140/90 mm of hg.

Yours is just 0.2cm more , i don't think there is any need to worry.
