What Causes Appetite Loss And Abdominal Bloating?

Question: Nobody listens to me. I really do NOT have much of an appetite. I have been the same weight for about 10 years ( up or down 5-10 lbs), no matter what I do. The worst of it is that my belly keeps getting bigger. And the last few years, when I do eat, I am in the bathroom pooping it out within 1 hour. What is wrong with me?

I don't have any test results. They keep them all at the clinic. Also when I poop (after eating anything), it is loose and sometimes jellylike. This is probably just more wasted time. I don't think anyone can or wants to help me. Nobody believes that I sometimes don't eat at all during the day. I saw a heart dr, and he asked me if I ever thought of gastric bypass. It was the first time I'd ever seen him! I told him that I didn't even have an appetite! He looked at me like "Ya, right". I told him that I'd been the same weight for about 10 years (give or take 5-10 lbs up or down). I'm 59 yrs old! I am NOT a liar! This is why I don't want to go drs anymore! I'm sick of people not listening or believing me!

Brief Answer: i think its IBS Detailed Answer: i think you should look up a condition called IBS- irritable bowel syndrome. I frankly think you have the symptoms of this syndrome. The treatment is not very specific. You will need to meet a gastroenterologist for a prescription of isapghulla husk, amitryptiline and possibly rifaximine Dr Mittal
