Question : I have a history of a blood clot in my leg following a hear catherization eight years ago. I took warafin fro 6 months and was cleared. Recently my left arm, whenever it is bent begins to get tingl in the lower half and it travels to my fingers. The tingling will subside when i unbend my elbow but there is a lingering feeling in the area. I am wondering if it might be another blood clot.

Brief Answer:
Blood clot is hardly possible.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

No, it is rather not a blood clot. Please note that blood clot in the arm is less probable than in the legs. Blood clot can appear in the arm in case of an injury or long compression. Otherwise it is hardly possible.
Blood clot gives swelling, redness and pain.
Arm tingling is rather caused by some nerve problem. If the tingling is more in the first 3 fingers, carpal tunnel syndrome is possible. It is caused by medial nerve compression in the wrist area. The pain and tingling is usually worse during the night.
Other possible issues are ulnar nerve entrapment or spine disc herniation.

I suggest you to consult orthopedist with this issue.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
