Question : my husband has A-fib. he is on medication for it. right now his blood pressure is 159/105 heart rate is 65 which is normal for him to have a low heart rate. every time he takes his reading he gets different numbers. His last blood pressure was 140/90. What should he do ? Lately things have been very stressful for us.
Brief Answer:
fluctuations are normal
Detailed Answer:
Hi, I am Dr Mittal. I have read your query. I think I would be able to help you.
The fact remains that the blood pressure and the pulse rate Are always fluctuating. This is normal. Every minute, the blood pressure is supposed to be fluctuating according to the condition and situation.
You need not worry about it. 140/90 is still normal. If it goes higher we may have to consider stepping up the dose of bp medicine.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. I hope that the information helps you. Please feel free to contact us for more information. Best of luck.
