Question : My 10 year old daughter has Chiari I and had decompression surgery at age 6. In the past couple of months she has started bed wetting, with an increase in headaches and eye strain.

                                    Brief Answer:
see doctor
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for your comments.
With Chiari there is always a chance of re-accumulation of pressure in the brain so any possibly brain related symptoms should be investigated quickly to avoid further injury.
The bed wetting may not be related but the headaches and eye strain are concerning.
She needs to see her doctor or neurologist as soon as possible.
They will likely want to get an MRI of her brain to see what is going on.
None of this may be related to her Chiari malformation but if they are then she will need a procedure to decrease the pressure again.

Dr. Robinson
