Brief Answer:
Due to virus

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

Bitter taste is a peculiar symptom of dengue. Virus also affects the throat and cause feeling of bitter taste. Since your platelets are improving, it means that dengue virus is withdrawing from your body.

It will get better in few days of stopping all medicines or complete disappearance of virus.

You can take juice of XXXXXXX papaya leaves to recover faster. Drinking lots of fluids and cleaner water helps. Warm fluids help clear throat. Fruits like oranges and lichis can help. There is no need for food restriction. But you may feel like taking some foods more than others. Eat whatever you feel like eating and is healthy.

Hope it helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
