Question : What causes black or brown specks in female urine? Also, was the best treatment for diptheroids found on urine culture results.

Regarding to your urine culture, you are having urinary tract infection that cause by diphtheroids. Diphtheroids are defined as aerobic, non sporulating, pleomorphic gram-positive bacilli. They are usually commensals of the skin and mucous membranes. The black or brown specks in your urine may cause from urinary infection. I was in a car accident about 4 months ago and I had a hematoma to my right breast I still have it slightly. Initially due to me being on Eliquis therapy I had bleeding in my chest. I stayed in the local ER 12 hrs with my chest bandaged and the bleeding stopped so, I didn't have to be sent to our trauma hospital an hour away esp. since that was at the beginning of the Covid-19 era. I'm an RN I've read up/and internet search on the diptheroids and my doctor told me that they told her they didn't know antibiotic to treat the Diptheroids with.So she was trying macrobid I didn't see any changes so then I ask for some else so I'm on Doxycycline. Sorry to have gotten sidetracked but, what I was getting to from earlier. I don't recall seeing any old blood when I went to the bathroom. So I was wondering when that happens to the blood that was bleeding in my chest does it dissolve and settle in my stomach? I also saw something on the internet about it could be old gi blood or possibly I have some kidney damage.

Thank you for the history. If you not feel better with macrobid and doxycycline. You may need to do another antibiotic IV. Vancomycin is bactericidal against diphtheroids and is recommended for therapy when resistant to other antibiotic. The hematoma dissolve in your body into blood vessel not in the stomach.
