Brief Answer:
These are caused by vitreous degeneration and called as floaters.

Detailed Answer:
Hello

I am Dr. Dadapeer K, an ophthalmologist and I will be answering your question.

I reviewed your history.

The symptoms of black spots behind the eye indicate vitreous opacities and are called as floaters. These occur as a result of age related degeneration occurring in the vitreous.
Vitreous is a gel like structure which fills the posterior part of the eye and lies between lens and the retina.

The age related changes in vitreous makes it to undergo degeneration resulting in floaters. These complaints are common in people after the age of 60-65 years.

There is no need to be worried about these as these are harmless and no treatment is required .

Hence I advice you not to worry about these age related changes.
You need to consult your doctor for examination of the posterior part of the eye if you notice sudden increase in these floaters or there is association of flickering of light like sensation called as flashes.

Hope this answers your question.
Do write back to me for further questions.

Thank you
