                                            Question : Hi Doctor,
I had stomach pain and loose motion yesterday. Then i took a tablet of Norflox TZ and felt ok. Today i am not facing any high stomach pain or loose motion, everything is fine but the concern is the black tool. It seems like this is due to blood. Should i be concerned?
Please let me know whether i should be continuing the medication as well since i dont have any stomach pain now and i had my breakfast today before 6 hours and currently has no issues.

                                    Brief Answer:
continue with the medicines.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for writing your query.
After reading your post, I would like to advise that you should continue with the medicine for 5-7 days.
I would also suggest that you should add an antacid like Omeprazole 40mg once a day before meals along with a probiotic.
You should eat light meals prepared under hygienic conditions.
Also take care of your hydration.
If the problem persists, get yourself clinically examined and investigated.
I hope this is helpful to you.
If you have any further query, I will be happy to help.
Thanks.

Thanks a lot for clearing my doubts. One last doubt is please help me understand what could have caused this infection in the first place. i will list out the foods i had on saturday:
Morning i had Poori and didnt face any issue till afternoon.
Afternoon i had eggs with lot of pepper and chilli (which i usually have) and didnt had any problems till 1 to 2 hours.
Then i had a mango milk shake from a shop which i regularly take and finally i had two coconut(including the water and eating part).
Can you please help me what could have gone wrong in my diet.

                                    Brief Answer:
Infection can be due to contaminated food.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your response.
Gastrointestinal tract infection can be due to contaminated food or drink. It is not possible to say which food has caused infection(unless food is tested), but still food prepared under unhygienic conditions have more chances of infection than home made hygienic food.
In your case, it might be from mango shake.
I hope this answers your query.
Thanks.
