What Causes Black Stool While On Prozac?

Question: Hello im 52 yrs 182 ibs 6 ft...I been taking prozac for the last 3 days and my stools is vey black dark and greenish..what should i do?

Also the dosage i been taking is 20 mg a day for the last 3 days

Black stool can be the first sign of an upper gastrointestinal bleed. Prozac can very rarely cause GI bleeding by thinning the blood. I would visit an ER immediately.

I also started using Pepto-Bismall this morning...I did some reaing and it says it also causes dark grenish stools..what u think i have this dillema of prozac and Pepto=Bismol?
