What Causes Bleeding After Sexual Intercourse?
Question: I been blessing everytime after intercourse... My paps keeps coming back normal!

The reasons for bleeding after intercourse are often due to benign conditions like cervical polyp, cervicitis ( infection of the neck of the womb) cervicalal ectropion ( epithelium lining cervical canal protrudes out a bit) vaginal atrophy, foreign body etc. Sometimes it is due to causes of concern like precancerous lesion of the cervix or cervical/ vaginal cancer.
Since you have been examined by doctor and also had colposcopy most of the benign causes are obviously excluded .
Do you have regular cycles? Do you have unprovoked bleeding in between cycles? Do you have any bleeding disorders? Are you on blood thinning medications?
Are you on oral contraceptive pills. In this case sometimes there is cervical ectropion due to estrogen content in pill. This epithelium is delicate. It can be injured during intercourse causing bleeding.
Though rare it is important to exclude precancerous/ cancer lesions by biopsy. Let us wait for the result.
Please note that in more than 50% of cases no cause will be identified after all these investigations. In such a scenario the bleeding usually resolves in few months time.

While doing internal examination did your doctor mention anything like ectropion?
Have you had aswab tested for HPV.
Since your pap smears were normal and did not mention cellular changes suggestive of HPV infection, probably you dont have HPV infection.
Let us wait for the biopsy result.
Don't get tensed. As I mentioned earlier in more than 50% of cases there is no apparent cause.
In the worst scenario of detecting a precancer lesion also you should not worry. There are good treatments available to cure it.
Do write to me once you get biopsy results.

Yes my doc did the swab for hpv , that was negative..... One thing she did say if the biopsy comes back normal, she said i have two options , i can either have a cauterazation, and she mentioned a cream, that will bring all my bacteria down to the lowest point , and i guess the vigina wouldshut down! Does that make any sencr to you? I dont have the cream name yet, but Monday im seeing her.. And we will discuss furthur, habe you heard of such thing? A cream that will bring all yout levels down,
