Question : Had umbilical hernia and started bleeding. Even after surgery an is an on going problem. Don't have any history that I know of that might cause it.

I am sorry for the situation you are in!

If the place of surgery where umbilical hernia was started bleeding, then, should run to ER as you need further medical attention (more specialized by surgeon).

Bleeding might be a complication of surgery that need further medical attention. If it is also mixed with pus or other discharge, then, might indicate infection.

Until you go to ER, I advise to:
- clean the area well with iodine, do not pour iodine directly to the affected area but soak a sterile gauze and then apply locally
- cover the area with a sterile gauze
- monitor your blood sugar levels
