Hi,

I have gone through your query and will help you in best possible,

You have quite a few problems I will try to explain in you in best possible way,

1)Be relaxed its very rare to form hole in oesophagus your getting difficulty in breathing because of copd so your most propably breathing through mouth so your getting feeling of breathing through oesophagus,

2)your shortness of breath due to copd should be taken care of visit your treating doctor you may propably need oxygen therapy,
Antiinflammatory drugs and antibiotics

3)execessive salivation, barets oesophagus is due to oesophagial reflux, one of the main reason for it less gastric activity and slow gastric emptying, this is the reason your doctors wants to test you for gastric emptying study.

4)bloating many times appears because of same slow gastric emptying

For now keep your head end elevated(proptup position) it will help you in both breathing difficulty and gastrooesophagial reflux,
Take acid lowering drugs like pantaprozole,
Avoid oily,spicy,greasy food.

Visit your treating doctor and start taking treatment for copd as soon as possible.

Hope this information helps,
