What Causes Blockage Of Capillary In Lungs And Heart?

Question: Thank you very much.
4 or 5 month ago, I asked about what if some particles get into the vein and I got the answer from you. If its shape is round, it goes into heart and flow into lung.. and it is very small and there is nothing to worry..
And then I have two more queries for that question.
1. if some little particle flow into lung and block one capilliary on lung... is there any further problem? (for example, that makes inflammation on lung and get into further problem.)
2. if some little particle get into heart and stock in some place in heart... is there any further big problem?
Thank you very much.

Brief Answer:
Nothing serious will happen.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Yes, I remember your previous query. Thanks for writing again.

If that small particle block a capillary in the lung then it will affect a very small area of lung. And when one capillary is blocked the other capillaries around develop and supply the area. This is like a compensatory mechanism. So usually nothing happens if one capillary is blocked. The worst which may happen is that small area of lung may stop functioning due to death of tissue. But it won't spread and also since it is a small area and rest of lung will be functioning normally, it won't affect your health.

Since it is small it is unlikely to get stuck in heart. Because it can't block valve. It may again block some small capillary there which is not significant. Block of major artery or vein affect significantly and in your case it is small particle.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.

Brief Answer:
it won't cause any major harm

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As I said before, to get stuck anywhere the capillaries should be of diameter less than the particle. When such a small particle is stuck in the capillaries it won't cause any inflammation as body has the capacity to compensate that much.

If it gets stuck to the walls of heart then localized mild inflammation may occur which will heal in some days by itself.

There won't be any symptoms. Since these many days nothing has happened so there are nil chances that anything will happen in future. Any harm caused will be immediate.

Hope I have answered your query. If any further queries are there I would love to help.
