What Causes Blood Blister On Penis?

default
Posted on Tue, 17 Mar 2015
Question: I have had a red spot, about 10mm diameter on my glans for a few days. Not itchy or painful.
Today the spot is a blood blister.
I have had herpes for about 30 years, suppressed with valaciclovir, but not at this location.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for posting on HCM.
I can understand your concern regarding the skin lesions over glans penis but its difficult to point specific diagnosis in absence of clinical examination.
From the history it does seem like recurrence of herpes progenitalis but the other possibilities cannot be ruled out.
Therefore, I insist you to post good clinical pictures to me so that I can help you in a better way. You have a feature to upload the images by yourself on the right side of this query page. Please utilize that. Alternatively, You can mail pictures to YYYY@YYYY with subject titled ' ATTN Dr Hardik Pitroda'.
