Brief Answer:
Deep veins thrombosis can be the reason.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Where was this blood clots located? Was it superficial or deep veins thrombosis? What has caused this issues? Did you have any injuries? Do you have any chronic diseases? When was the last episode?

Its hard to tell if the blood clots are back or not. With such thrombosis history, this should be the first issue to rule out. Painful and hard calves are typical veins thrombosis symptoms. The pain should be worse when walking. There should be no fever or calf redness.

I suggest you to do not wait with it. Deep veins thrombosis can be life threatening issue. Please consult your doctor as soon as possible. Dopplers veins ultrasound should be done at first. In case of deep veins thrombosis you should have heparine injections prescribed.

Hope this will help. Feel free to ask further questions.
Regards.
