What Causes Blood Discharge From The Penis After Using A Urinary Catheter?

Question: i have been taking cialis for several years for urination problems. I started 30 years ago with flomax. but the only thing that lets me urinate now is cialis. recently I have increased the dosage, as I have had two bouts of being unable to urinate ( had to use a catheter for a day). 4 days ago I started to have blood from the penis as I was engaging in intercourse. That was disturbing... but now I can not stop the bleeding from thje penis. I discontinued cialis 3 days ago. the effect is only slightly better. There is no issue of blood from any other orifice. I did have an accident a month ago and have been using a lot of Iodine topically, as well as ampicillin and other antibiotics as my leg got very infected. The antibiotic and cialis and all other medication have been stopped not for 3 days.

I HAVE NOT USED THE CATHETER SINCE ONE MONTH. should I discontinue the cialis? when can I resume to cialis if I stop using it? ( one week of disuse ok?) ? if I do not take cialis I must use a catheter. I can not pee

* If you can not pass urine without taking cialis, discontinuing it will be problematic
as use of catheter in stage of blood in urine is not advisable.
* As you had told that you recently had increased the dose of cialis, it is recommended to consume the previous dose only which you were taking.
* Avoid intercourse or masturbation at present.

Follow up after 24 hours or early as per the requirement.
