Question : Im worried about my heart. I had an ecg and an echo dopler done and they came back normal. I was in the shower and i started to gag and then i heard a pop and blood came up my throat and nose and ever since then ive had heart palpatations. I can feel my heart beating when im sitting down and when i exhert myself. Should i do any other tests on my heart? do u think the popping in my throat caused this? are the tests ive had good enough to say i dont have a heart problem? is it normal to feel those kind of sensations even when seated down? sometimes i even wake up in the middle of the night with my heart palpitating.
Brief Answer:
Advised to run Holter monitoring & stress test for final diagnosis
Detailed Answer:
Hi Neajamme,
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
As per your reports, I highly recommend to run Holter monitoring and stress test for further evaluation.
No, popping is not the cause, but anxiety you got when such episode occurred might be a triggering factor.
The tests you've done so far (ECG and echo doppler) are not enough. That's why I highly recommend to run Holter monitoring and stress test.
After you have the results of such tests in, I can give a more precise answer.
Try to cope with stress and to eat healthy foods.
Hope it helped!
