Question : I had an ejaculation there was blood in it. This has never happened before. I have in the past had blood in my urine but that has not happened in 25 years. I also have polycystic kidney disease.

Well, there are several possible causes. First it can be just single incident due to urethral injury during ejaculation and then blood may mix a bit with semen.
Second, it can be sign of prostatitis ot prostate hyperplasia and third it can be sign of kidney infection or kidney stones. I suggest to see if this will happen again. If yes, then you need to do prostate ultrasound, PSA marker and urine analysis for a beginning. If you have pain, fever or penis discharge then you need to see doctor earlier. Wish you good health.
