Question: When I spit in the morning I have blood in it. Not during the day...I take Eliqius and baby aspirin. Have had triple bypass. this just started about two weeks ago.

Based on the data you provided the most common cause of hemoptysis (spitting blood in the morning) is the use anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs (i.e. Eliqus and Aspirin). Spitting blood is one of the common side effects of Eliqus and this side effect is more pronounced when it's used with aspirin.

Other causes of hemoptysis (spitting blood) are:
- Heart failure
- Pulmonary disorders

If you were my patient I would suggest to:
- Stop taking Aspirin and Eliqus till you contact a pulmonologist.
- Chest x-ray/lung ct scanner
- Cardiac echo
- Lung Bronchoscopy
