Question : i wan in a car accident on january 30 the car was totaled in a head on collision went to hospital and x ray all ok but 3 days ago i noticed some blood in my stool and it ha continued i have no previous history of blood in my stool or hemorrhoids etc i am 55 years old female what do you suggest i do thank you

As you don't have prior history of hemorrhoids and there is a recent history of serious accident, we can't ignore this bleeding. I would recommend a colonoscopy to be sure there is nothing serious.

It can also pick up other causes of bleeding like unnoticed internal hemorrhoids or polyps.
