Mostly no need to worry as it is most probably due to anal crack
Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX walke, since you've observed a red colored blood spot in your stools then this indicated a bleeding in the lower part of the digestive tract as bleeding in Upper part of digestive tract lead to black colored stools.
This could be due to -
1) anal cracks or fissures that are mostly due to passing large hard stool.. In this case no need to worry, only increase the fiber content of your diet (vegetables, fruits and whole wheat)
2) hemorrhoids
3) constipation
4) colitis which is inflammation of the colon that requires an anti-inflammatory
5) diverticular disease that are small pouches projecting from colon, this usually cause no problem unless they become infected and bleed
If this happened only once then this is most probably due to an anal crack and no need to worry..
If this recurs again, then you will need a rectal examination and possibly colonoscopy to diagnose the cause..
Hope this is clear now..
Take Care
Kind Regards
