                                            get colonoscopy done
Detailed Answer:
Hi Mam ,
Welcome to HealthcareMagic .
Colorectal cancers are known to recur after treatment and also there are chances that multiple sites develop cancer of different grade. They present as bleeding without much symptoms.
I suggest you to consult your gastrosurgeon or surgeon and get colonoscopy done to rule out any recurrence or other cause of bleeding. The cause may be even simple fissure or piles.
But since he has been treated for cancer it is advisable to get colonoscopy done. Fresh bright red blood goes more in favor of piles or fissure. Blood mixed with stool or dark coloured suggest bleeding from colon or rectum.
Hope I have answered your query . If any further queries are there I would love to help.
Regards
Dr.Deepika Patil
