Brief Answer:
Blood in stool

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns

I am sorry to hear that you found blood in your stool. This could come from numerous sources including hemorrhoids to rectal tears or inflammation of the colon. If this bleeding continues then I would recommend that you see your medical provider and have a colonoscopy. If you have a strong family history of colon cancer you may want to be seen earlier than later. More than likely this is not an indication of colon cancer but from the hemorrhoids, rectal tears of other inflammation of the lower colon.

To reduce risk of bleeding and colon cancer eat a high fiber diet. This will allow for quick and easy passage of stools. Stop any NSAIDs like aspirin as they can cause GI bleeding

I hope I answered your question. Please contact us again if you have any additional questions
