Question : my mother is 87 with a history of frequent UTIs. She presently has no symptoms of an infection, not even discomfort but she is very weak and has XXXXXXX red blood in her urine. I looked in the toilet and it had settled down in the bowl and wasn't mixed with the urine so I'm pretty sure it's nothing she ate such as beets
Brief Answer:
Get her urine tested
Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. You need to get her urine tester for routine microscopy, culture and sensitivity, and occult blood. Further plans can be made thereafter. Ask her to take plenty of water to drink.
