Question : I've had prostate cancer - 2.5 years post IMRT and PSA <1. Following intercourse with normal ejaculation, I had blood in my wife and then some clots (1.5cm) as I urinated, but did not have pain from urination. Overall, a small amount of blood. Recently, I have also had some twinges ( not during sex) that went from my left testicle up into my upper left pelvis. I'm going to call my urologist tomorrow, but he's about 4 hours from where I now live and it's a holiday week. Starting to freak out a bit. Thoughts on what this could be?

Brief Answer:
MRI pelvis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Bloody urine following intercourse is not always concerning. However since you have history of prostate cancer I would advise you to do a MRI of pelvis to make sure things are all well. You can discuss about it with the doctor.

At the moment, if you still continue to bleed, you can visit a local GP who can start on Tranexamic Acid tablets 500 mg thrice daily after food for 5 days. Tranexamic acid pill will stop this bleed.

Regards
