What Causes Blood In Urine While On Eliquis?

Question : I am on eliquis 5mg twice a day for the last 1year and 3months, after having a pulmonary thrombosis a year and 3 months ago just ths past month I ha 2 different ocasions of blood in my urine, not muc, and only once then it was clear for a couple of weeks when it happened I skipped my twice daily dose for a couple of days etc.what do you think?

Hi,

I have reviewed your information fully. If this happened only once and has never happened again, all i recommend is that you monitor this closely to make sure it doesn't happen again. If it does, at that time and only then would I ask for further evaluation. It is not entirely unusual to have minor bleeds while on Eliquis, only repeated bleeds are of huge concern. It was wise as well to interrupt treatment for a couple of days.

I wish you well. Keep me posted on this. Also, drink much water daily to help cleanse the urinary passages.
