Passing blood in urine,especially in an elderly male needs early evaluation to find out the cause.
It can be from simple causes like a ureteric calculus.But we have to rule out more important causes like bladder/urinary tract neoplasms.

Kindly see a urologist without delay.
You ,may be asked for some investigations like urine microscopy,ultrasound,endoscopy etc.
