What Causes Blood In Urine?

Question: I have blood in my urine and I have pain on the left front of my abdomen and left testicle. I have had kidney stones in the past, but this does not feel the same. I was thinking that I might have damaged my kidneys by adding cinnamon to by protean shake for an extended amount of time. I have been drinking lots of water and the blood in my urine has cleared up, but I am in a tremendous amount of pain!

Hello. It may be associated with infections

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. As you have a history of kidney stones in past, this time too pain will suggest kidney stone. However as you have said that this does not appear same..it is likely due to associated urinary infection. I will suggest you to undergo following tests
1. Urine routine and microscopic examination
2. Urine culture
3. Ultrasonography of kidney, ureters and bladder
Beside this, you will require some test to look for metabolic causes of stone formation.
i will also suggest a drug to relieve pain called pyridium but only after consulting your physician.
