What Causes Blood In Urine?

default
Posted on Wed, 9 Nov 2016
Question: I had blood in my urine (a lot of blood) one time. I was n a cruise and the ship doctor seemed to think it might be an infection and gave me antibiotics. It has not happened again, but I am concerned. I have had gall bladder trouble in the recent past, could that have anything to to with it? My email address is YYYY@YYYY

Brief Answer:
Not connected to each other.

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query.
To recapitulate: Female/62 - had lot of blood in urine when were in a cruise - ship Doctor gave antibiotic - not happened again - gall bladder trouble in recent past - concerned and wants to know whether connected ...
No, both the things do not correlate to each other by any means.
If the bleeding in urination has not recurred after an antibiotic course, it indicates that it would have in fact be due to infection.
Gall bladder is a part of the gastrointestinal system and in no way connected to the urinary system.
