Brief Answer:
several possibilities can be there..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXX, Welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Hematuria or Blood in urine is a pathological feature and can be observed due to several medical implications..

The first and foremost thing to consider is Urinary tract infection, and Urine routine microscopy along with culture sensitivity along with hemogram should be done in the first place..

Next, it's important to assess and clinically examine to rule out any stone/calculi in any where along the kidney/ureter/urinary bladder as they can present with hematuria too.. If there's any chronic retention of urine in side the bladder, it's important to rule it out at the same time also..

If there's any ongoing blood thinner medications, then it's important to modify/stop the medication based on the clinical findings and severity of the symptoms..

Any disturbance in the blood coagulation parameters should also be checked for (PT/aPTT/INR/Fibrinogen etc.)..

There's also bladder tumors with/without malignancy, which can bleed and present as hematuria, so thorough clinical examination as well as relevant investigations (Utrasound / CT-scan of the KUB followed by Cystoscopical examination) needed in that scenario..

So as you see, there are several possibilities for blood in urine, and in order to get treated properly, the first thing is to obtain proper diagnosis with the help of clinical evaluation and investigations..

No MRI is not routinely done, Ultrasonography is the first choice and if inconclusive , then CT-Scan of KUB should be done..

Do let me know how you stay in the due course..

Kind Regards
