There are various causes for blood passing through urethra associated with some pain. Common ones are urinary tract infections, stones, trauma, polyp in urethra or rarely, cancer of bladder, urethra or prostate.

To pinpoint the cause in you, we should get an urologist consult, urine routine exam and culture, ultrasound of bladder and prostate, and serum PSA. Based upon these results, further evaluation and treatment can be planned.
